We refer to this phenomenon as a toxic kitten spill. It occurs when you open a door to a room containing a large number of foster kittens and they "spill" out and proceed to run about in random directions for no good reason and make themselves difficult to collect and place back in their designated room.

These are actually supposed to be three/four month old kittens, but they are so fucking severely inbred and malnourished they look much younger. :(

Moving = not complete, but the phone/internet guy came yesterday and hooked everything up, and last night we spent the first night in the house.

It took two seperate trips with TWO vehicles to get everyone here. I'm talking moving animals, not furniture or anything. Two trips just for the "kids".

Utah and Fargo like their new couches, kitties are enthralled with the stairs. There are no words to express how AWESOME it is to have a working washer and dryer. So sweet. I woke up this afternoon and started painting the kitchen cabinets so I can put dishes and pans away later tonight, hopefully.

This has been a long time coming, but by the end of August I'll be moved into a new house with ALOT more room for me, doggies, and cats. Its, clearly, a fix'er-upper, but aren't they all? The people who lived there previously (awhile back) left a ton of.. crap. Which will need to be gotten rid of. And the place will need to be washed/scrubbed down and painted. Next year I'll look at ripping the weird siding off and replacing it, and re-staining the deck. Oh yeah, did I mention the deck and the private freakin' swimming pool?

I have a HUGE update to make concerning alot of things that have been happening lately, but I figured you were all anxious to hear about the fate of the husky pup with the broken leg, so, here you go:

He was part of a seizure warrant on a property in Kansas City where a man had an obscene number of dogs he wasn't caring for. In the midst of everything that was happening, the husky pup in question broke his leg. He was in a kill shelter for his two weeks before someone pulled him and took him to a vet then sent out a call for help.

Surgery to repair his leg cost $400 dollars, not including boarding and pain medication.

All donations have been forwarded on to the awesome vet clinic that has been caring for him. Once he is released from the vet clinic he will be going straight into a closer by foster home that is part of a Husky Rescue organization. So unfortunately he wont be coming to stay with me. The important part is, you guys helped pay for his surgery and you are AWESOME for doing that. <3 you all.

I should receive an update and some pictures of him in his foster home, which I will share with you all. :)

All other news that I have will be posted tomorrow.

Dakota, aKa The Surplus Husky was adopted today. :) Foster dog got named Faith for no real reason other than needing a name. A HUGE thank you to everyone who donated towards the pup with the broken leg. I should have an update/more news on him on Monday.

Also, have your daily dose of cute;

A couple of things --

a) Does anyone have any spare cash they could toss into the pot to help out a husky pup with a broken leg? He's going to be put down if no one steps forward and offers to take him. :( I'm willing to get him transported up here and get him vetted, but I really don't have that much spare cash to pay those kind of vet bills right now. I'd love you forever and ever and do whatever you wanted if you could help out any. As soon as these folks get back to me about him I'll have some more info for you all.
Feel free to hit me up on Paypal and even if *I* don't take this guy in, I'll make sure the money goes towards helping him out.

b) Say hi to new foster dog. Someone dumped her out in the country.. she's a White GSD mix of some sort.. around 8 years old. She looked gray/brown when I went and picked her up she was so filthy and greasy.. but, gasp, after a bath she was white!

Utah and Fargo are 10 years old today. They will be treated to a doggy BBQ complete with canine-safe smores later on tonight. For now, neither of them seem to want to do much other than enjoy the A/C.

And while it may seem silly to be this sentimental over a dog I've never met, I've been thinking alot about Montana today, who passed away in April of '07. There had better be smores in doggy heaven, I think he'd like them just as much as his brother does.
